The value of electric generation assets are influenced by a number of factors, including the erratic pace of restructuring, efficiency, long-term supply contracts, and different political and economic environments. We maintain a proprietary analytic database on all electrical generating facilities in the United States and have valued virtually every type of plant, both domestically and abroad.

• During the period immediately following the issuance of Orders 888 and 889, the two landmark orders made by the FERC, ACG was engaged by major utility companies to value approximately 50,000 megawatts in plant divestitures.
• We performed research and an industry analysis related to recycled waste for electric power generation for a firm specializing in waste to energy plants.
• We provided valuation and property tax reduction services for a company that owns and operates large biomass (wood waste) generating facilities.
• We valued generation assets acquired by investors for approximately $7 billion. Plants valued included the largest fossil fuel plant in the US and one of the country's largest nuclear facilities. The acquired company had more than $700 million invested in NOx emissions controls at its plants.
• We valued generation assets acquired by investors for $1.3 billion. There were 15 generating plants located in the northeast, including pumped storage units, conventional hydroelectric generation, base load coal-fired generation, and combined cycle peaking turbines.
• We valued wind turbines acquired by a leading integrated energy company based in the southeastern United States.
• We valued a partnership's geothermal plants, which had an approximately book value of $470 million.
